President Cyril Ramaphosa makes mistake on live TV while addressing xenophobic attacks
A video of the moment President Cyril Ramaphosa made a mistake while addressing South Africans on gender-based violence crisis and xenophobic attacks witnessed in the country has gone viral on social media, and has been described as an embarrassing and epic fall.
The SABC has strongly apologised to Ramaphosa for the mistake and promised action will be taken following a review of what happened, Thesouthafrican reports.
Many South Africans were left disappointed the President chose to do a pre-recorded message on the issue rather than ‘talking from the heart’, including Democratic Alliance media officer Azola Mboniswa.
