Trusted associates defrauded me – Kemi Adeosun
The minister of finance has resigned her appointment with effect from 14th September 2018. The minister, Kemi Adeosun in her letter of resignation, which has since been accepted by the president, Muhammadu Buhari, stated that she had earlier presented the alleged forged certificate to the Ogun state house of assembly as well as the DSS and the National Assembly at various times.
In her submission, she stated that the certificate was issued to her by NYSC through her “trusted ” associates.
According to her, she was shocked to realised that the certificate of exemption was not genuine. This She ascribed to insincerity of her trusted associates.
She further claimed that she did not have any knowledge about the NYSC laws as it relates to exemption certificate.
She affirmed that she has never been to NYSC office, personally. She thanked the president for giving her the opportunity to serve her fatherland.
Mrs Adeosun has always visited Nigeria during holidays , until she was 34 years of age.
The trouble with her NYSC certificate started when an online medium investigated the authenticity of her NYSC certificate and found out it was not genuinely issued by the NYSC board.
