Tinubu Campaign Council Appoints Ex-Jonathan Spokesperson Niboro

Veteran journalist and former Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Ima Niboro, has been appointed as one of the spokespersons of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Niboro, who previously served as spokesperson to former President Goodluck Jonathan, is expected to bring his extensive experience in presidential communications, public relations and newsroom management to the Tinubu campaign team.

His appointment adds another experienced media professional to the campaign council as the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) intensifies preparations for the 2027 presidential election.

As a veteran journalist, Niboro has held several key positions in the Nigerian media industry, including his tenure as Managing Director of NAN.

His previous role in the Jonathan administration also gave him direct experience in managing presidential communication and engaging the media on national issues.

The appointment is expected to strengthen the campaign council’s communication strategy and public engagement as President Tinubu seeks re-election in 2027.
