A Media promoter, Senator Gbenga Obadara has affirmed that, the popular social media,penpushing platform has come to stay,having changed the face of news dissemination via group chat on the internet for better journalism development
Obadara who is the founder of Sweet FM 107.1 radio station based in Abeokuta,+gun State Capital made this known in an interview with journalists during his birthday celebration.
He declared that, the calibre of eminent personalities on the platform served as a good assessment of the authenticity of the platfform,which he also admitted to have become addicted with.
‘I can boldly tell you that, penpushing has come to stay as a result of its known authenticity in news dissemination across the globe. Infact, eminent personalities who are participants on the platform is an indication that it is a credible platform in news dissemination’,he said.
The former federal lawmaker who confessed that,the platform remains his first contact of getting update and genuine news globally, said he was proud to be a member of the platform.
‘Let me confess to you, penpushing has remain my contact to read genuine news across the globe. Infact, I am addicted to the platform, and I cannot afford not to check on it on daily basis’,he emphased.
Obadara commended the initiative of the founder of the platform, stressing that,he was not surprise considering his(founder) track records in the journalism practice and profession.
He also declared his support for the coming maiden edition of the annual anniversary lecture of the platform,which the former Vice-Chancellor,University of Lagos,Prof Oye Ibidapo-Obe would deliver the lecture
