Oyebanji Dissolves Cabinet
Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
All affected Commissioners and Special Advisers have been directed to hand over to the Permanent Secretary or the most senior civil servant in their respective ministries, departments, and agencies.
In a statement, Governor Oyebanji expressed gratitude to the outgoing officials for their service and wished them well in their future pursuits.
However, according to the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, the dissolution does not affect the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, as well as the Commissioners for Health and Human Services; Agriculture and Food Security; Education; Works; and Trade, Investment, Industry and Cooperatives.
Also exempted are the Special Adviser on Special Education and Social Inclusion, the Special Adviser on Lands, Survey and e-GIS, and all Directors General in the council — namely, the DG, Office of Transformation and Service Delivery; DG, SDGs and Project Monitoring; and DG, Bureau of Public Procurement.
