Nigeria @ 58: Resolve to enthrone justice and ensure rule of law is pracrice to the latter – Rep Chinda urges Nigerian leaders

Honourable member representing Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency of Rivers State in the Federal House of Representatives, Rep. Kingsley Chinda has call on Nigerian leaders to use the occasion of our 58th independence anniversary to resolve to enthrone justice on all fronts and ensure that, the rule of law is practiced to the latter.
Rep Chinda in his goodwill message to mark the nation’s 58th independent anniversary urge all to brace up and ensure that the aspirations of Nigeria’s founding fathers are met, “particularly, in the enthronement of true democracy and the Rule of Law”.
Chinda who is the Chairman Public Account Committee PAC in the House of Rep. opined that 58 years as an independent Nation has been a long walk, with accompanying hurdles, which are the challenges of nationhood.
“Though made more difficult by maladministration and deliberate disintegrating actions by public office holders.
“I recall with nostalgia, the labour and sacrifices of our past heroes and heroines, who gave so much in their quest for the enthronement of a united, just and egalitarian Nigeria.
“A nation birth to reign in equity, peace and justice.
“I am deeply concerned with the dwindling state of the Nation’s unity, peace, justice and economy.
“A very potent element that is causing disunity in this nation, is the persistent actions of tribal lords through tribalistic and nepotic actions, which are against the clear provisions of Section 14 of the Constitution.
“Another critical factor that posses a major threat to our peace and nationhood, is the slaughtering of Nigerians by herdsmen and the unending wanton state of Boko Haram hold in the North East. And of course, several security breaches and killings across various parts of the country, all of which have continued to undermine our peace, security and existence as a nation.
“Not forgetting, the nefarious schemes of daylight and brazen murder of democratic practices, which has left a soar taste in the lips of Nigerians and indeed, International community.
“In the light of the above and particularly as we approach the 2019 General Elections, I hereby urge us all as compatriots, to brace up and ensure that the aspirations of our founding fathers are met. Particularly, in the enthronement of true democracy and the Rule of Law.

I heartily felicitate with my family, constituents and well meaning Nigerians, home and abroad.
58 years as an independent Nation has been a long walk, with accompanying hurdles, which are the challenges of nationhood. Though made more difficult by maladministration and deliberate disintegrating actions by public office holders.
I recall with nostalgia, the labour and sacrifices of our past heroes and heroines, who gave so much in their quest for the enthronement of a united, just and egalitarian Nigeria.
A nation birth to reign in equity, peace and justice.
I am deeply concerned with the dwindling state of the Nation’s unity, peace, justice and economy.
A very potent element that is causing disunity in this nation, is the persistent actions of tribal lords through tribalistic and nepotic actions, which are against the clear provisions of Section 14 of the Constitution.
Another critical factor that posses a major threat to our peace and nationhood, is the slaughtering of Nigerians by herdsmen and the unending wanton state of Boko Haram hold in the North East. And of course, several security breaches and killings across various parts of the country, all of which have continued to undermine our peace, security and existence as a nation.
Not forgetting, the nefarious schemes of daylight and brazen murder of democratic practices, which has left a soar taste in the lips of Nigerians and indeed, International community.
In the light of the above and particularly as we approach the 2019 General Elections, I hereby urge us all as compatriots, to brace up and ensure that the aspirations of our founding fathers are met. Particularly, in the enthronement of true democracy and the Rule of Law.
Once again. I call on our leaders on this occasion of our 58th independence anniversary to resolve to enthrone justice on all fronts and ensure that, the rule of law is practiced to the latter.
Above all, give room for the return of peace and inclusive growth in our country Nigerian.
I am forward looking and confident that we shall overcome them all.
Congratulations Nigeria and Nigerians and happy independence anniversary.
