IGCC Captain Promises Great Golfing Season, Solicits Members Cooperation

Golf actions like never before in the annals of Ibori Golf and Country Club (IGCC), Asaba, Delta State will be witnessed this new golfing season going by the pedigree of the new administration.
Ibori Golf course measuring 6,331 meters is golfers delight and a home of hospitality for golfers who have tasted the terrain and felt the uniqueness of competing on the course.
Facts about this course before now will witness facelift just as the club Captain, Alfred Ebreneyin led administration is poised to change the fortune of the club to an enviable height in due season.
In achieving this laudable feat, Ebreneyin is seeking for full cooperation of members that will enhance further development of club facilities in this year golfing season.
Ebreneyin, and other members of the Executive were sworn-in on Sunday, January 19th, 2020 in Asaba, having been saddled with the responsibility of administering the affairs of the club for the year 2020.
Also to serve in the new executive were Jimmy Odogwu, Vice Captain; Angela Uwabor, Lady Captain while Hetty Egbai will serve as the Lady Vice Captain. Ibrahim Khalil as Secretary; Chuks Nwani as House officer; Gibson Lee as Course Officer; Gabriel Okpuno as Competition Secretary; Alex Joe as Treasurer, and Tam Brisbie as Handicap Secretary.
The Capo in his address commended his predecessor, Chief Nicholas Chizea for the positives steps taken towards stabilizing the club. “He was never being afraid to make brave decisions in effecting changes to move the club forward.”
While relaying his plans, he said: “The Exco will seek tournaments packages that will attract golfers from other clubs across the country, and to further improve the esthetics of the golf course.
“Also, we will do our best to organise grassroots development programmes and embark on membership drive. IGCC has a fantastic golf course in a great location, a growing membership, excellent facilities, and a great community who come together to play golf.
“A healthy golf club relies on a strong membership and I would like to think that we can all help the club by being positive ambassadors. The more we can all talk about the club, the more people we can attract, and the busier we can be. It’s a great place to be when we are all pulling in the same direction.
“I am imploring all members to enjoy their golf this season and I look forward to playing with as many golfers as possible over the next golf season.”
