I kill my granddaughter because I hate her father- 47 year old woman confesses

The joy of every parent on this planet earth is to see and nurture their grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their life time. This realisation will make them to be fulfilled either as father or mother.
But in the case of 47 years old Mrs. Tolu Akinola, reverse was the case as what supposed to be a thing of joy to her and others of attaining the stage of a grandma ended being a horror when she killed her granddaughter for just no reason.
Akinola, is already cooling herself in the police cell days after she fed her two days old granddaughter with deadly and banned substance ‘snipper’ without any remorse.
Explaining her reason for engaging in such act during police parade at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) base, Magbon, Abeokuta, the mother of six narrated her hatred for his supposed son-inlaw and his family whom she accused of abandoning her pregnant daughter for her to take care, in spite of her financial incapacitated.
She said: “I had been taking care of my pregnant daughter since May until she delivered a baby girl. Before her delivery, the so called husband did not come to see me nor his family until two weeks to her delivery. I don’t like the boy at all nor his family.
“Two days after the baby was born, because I do not have money to take care of the baby and mother, I brought home sniper, put it inside spoon and put in the baby’s mouth, that was how she died.
“The so called father was in prison and I don’t  like him at all. I warned my daughter against the act, but she didn’t listen to me. So, I have to take that action since I won’t be able to cater for both the baby and her mother at the same time.”
While responding on maybe she knew the gravity of her offence, she stated that act had been done, but pleading with the government to have mercy on her and free her, adding that she has learnt a lot in her confinement since the day she was attested by the police.
“I have six children for my husband, but we are no longer together since. The economy is very hard for me, that led to my action. I am begging government to please help me out. I did not kill the baby for ritual at all, but just because I did not have money to cater for the baby and her mother.”
