Buhari felt insulted by Daura’s insubordination to Osinbajo

Multiple sources have disclosed how President Muhammadu Buhari felt about the arrogance and total disregard that led to the sack of Lawal Daura as the boss of Nigeria’s notorious secret service, the DSS.

Sources in London disclosed  the fury and anger that consumed president Buhari after he was informed by the acting president, Yemi Osibajo that there was no clearance from the presidency before deploying masked men to the national assembly.

The president was reportedly furious after been told by the acting president the response of Daura when asked to explain why such action could be taken without clearance from the seat of power.

Daura was reported to have told acting president Osibajo that “I am only answerable to the president and Commander-In Chief who appointed me”. This the source said “got badly to the president and needed to show everyone of his appointees that the leadership is one”

“The president has transmitted letter to the senate that Vice President Osibajo is the acting president. He held a meeting with top aides before he left home on the need to accord the VP total authority in his absence. Daura’s action was not just an insult to the acting president but a violation of the order of the president and a total disregard for the office of the president”. The highly placed source said

The source also said president Buhari ordered his immediate arrest after being convinced that Daura “was in play with President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki to embarrass the president.
