3rd Year Anniversary of Nizamiye Hospital:Tuari Yar’dua, former FCT Minister Ibrahim Modibbo received special award [PHOTOS]

Former first Lady Hajia Turai Yar’dua and former Federal Capital Territory Minister, Malam Ibrahim Modibbo was last week honoured by the management of Nizamiye Hospital Abuja.

Nizamiye hospital is own by Turkish Investor operating under the umbrella body of first Surat Group and Nigerian Tulip International Colleges NTIC.

The hospital last weekend celebrated its third year anniversary with eminent personalities in attendance.

Former first lady Hajia Turai Yar’dua and Malam Modibbo, former FCT minister were honoured with an special award in appreciation of their contribution to the hospital.

Speaking at the event, Minister of State, Health, Dr. Osita Ehanire commended the management of the hospital for contributing to health development in the country and also offer quality health care to Nigerians at a very affordable rate.

Ehanire explained that the main focus of the present administration under the leadership of Muhammadu Buhari is to block the huge amount expended on medical trip by government officials and Nigerians.

According to him, Nigerians spent an average of N1billion yearly on medical trip.

He, however, promised government collaboration with the hospital, and urge them to replicate such hospital in other part of the country.

Also speaking former FCT minister, Ibrahim Modibbo take a swipe at the politicians who starched huge sum of money in warehouses and bunkers, adding that such money been recovered by the EFCC is enough to establish an hospital like Nizamiye in every state of the federation.

Dignitaries  at the event includes: Senators, member House of Reps;

erstwhile Chairman of INEC, Attahairu Jega; Festus Keyamo, Archbishop of Abuja Diocese, John Onaiyekan, Chief Imam of Abuja Central Mosque among others.
