Tinubu Strengthens Federal Agencies with 26 Fresh Appointments

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of 26 individuals into key leadership positions across 10 federal government agencies and commissions as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery.

Among the appointments announced on Monday, former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, was named Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), while retired Major General Junaid Bindawa was appointed Chairman of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission. The appointments take immediate effect.

The Presidency said the appointments are aimed at enhancing the performance of strategic government institutions and reinforcing the administration’s commitment to effective public service.

The newly appointed officials will oversee agencies with responsibilities spanning rural electrification, wage administration, infrastructure, and other critical sectors of the economy.

The latest appointments form part of President Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to reposition federal agencies through the appointment of experienced public servants, technocrats and political leaders to key positions.
