Security: Emulate Yahaya Bello in tackling the menace- Sen. Smart urges states

The Distinguished Senator Smart Adeyemi has urged his colleagues at plenary session to support the amendment of the constitution towards the establishment of state police in the country.
He made the call while speaking on the current rising of insurgency tide in the country.
Senator Adeyemi said the states facing serious security challenges should emulate governor Yahaya Bello who safe Kogi state from criminals by setting up a formidable Vigilante group in the state.
He said at a particular period, Kogi state was not safe until Gov. Yahaya Bello set up a vigilante group to assist the conventional governmental security architecture in curbing the prevalent scourge of insecurity.
Adeyemi also called for the construction of defence walls round the nation boarders, adding that the insecurity in Nigerian nation today can be linked to international conspiracy.
He saluted the courage of President Mohammadu BUHARI who was able to curtail and reduced the serial bombings and suicide bombers drastically compared to the PDP administration and there is the need to stop the rising rate of insecurity in Nigeria
