Rep. Kabiru Yusuf unveils over N1bn empowerment package for Alkaleri-Kirfi Constituents
Hon. Kabiru Yusuf (AKY Makaman Duguri), Member of the House of Representatives for Alkaleri-Kirfi Federal Constituency in Bauchi State, has rolled out empowerment items valued at more than N1 billion for residents of the constituency.
The large-scale empowerment programme, held on Monday, was designed to equip beneficiaries with tools and opportunities to become self-reliant and create jobs within their communities.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony in Bauchi, Yusuf said the package included 20 commercial vehicles, 150 motorcycles, 100 sewing machines, 200 water pumps for irrigation, 100 wheelchairs for persons with disabilities, and N200 million in cash support.
He noted that beneficiaries cut across party officials from ward to local government levels, APC stakeholders, youth and women groups, the elderly, persons with special needs, and supporters who have stood by him throughout his political journey.
Yusuf urged recipients to make proper use of the items to boost economic growth in Alkaleri-Kirfi and contribute to the development of Bauchi State and Nigeria at large. He also called for patience from constituents who were not captured in the current phase, assuring them that more empowerment initiatives are forthcoming.
APC Chairman in Bauchi State, Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tilde, commended the lawmaker’s efforts, noting that this marked the sixth empowerment programme he had witnessed within Yusuf’s two-year tenure.
Similarly, APC leaders in Alkaleri and Kirfi LGAs—Alhaji Adamu Umar Gokaru and Barrister Yakubu Yakubu Kirfi—praised Yusuf’s performance, describing it as unmatched in the history of the constituency.
Beneficiaries including Alhaji Iliya Natsira, Hajiya Lami, and Dan Malikin Bara expressed gratitude for the support and pledged continued loyalty and mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.
