President Tinubu holds closed-door meeting with Kano Governor Yusuf

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday held a closed-door meeting with the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, at the State House, Abuja.

Governor Yusuf arrived at the Presidential Villa shortly after 4:00 p.m. (WAT) and was received by the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, who escorted him to the President’s office. Details of the meeting were not disclosed at the time of filing this report.

The meeting has, however, fueled political speculation, coming amid persistent reports of a possible defection by Governor Yusuf from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
