Presidency denies report of Tinubu’s planned visit to the United States
The Presidency has dismissed a circulating report suggesting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to travel to the United States on Tuesday for a meeting with US Vice President, J.D. Vance.
In a statement on Monday, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Temitope Ajayi, described the report as false and misleading.
Ajayi clarified that there are no such travel plans or meetings in the President’s current itinerary, urging the public to disregard the claims being spread online.
“The story making the rounds that President Tinubu will be visiting the United States to meet Vice President J.D. Vance is entirely untrue. The public should ignore such misinformation,” he said.
He cautioned media outlets and social media users against spreading unverified information about the President’s activities, noting that all official engagements are always communicated through authorized channels.
