Ogun APC crisis: Dapo Abiodun set to dump APC, eyes PDP
A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun, Prince Dapo Abiodun may be on his way to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) soon.
Dapo Abiodun was declared winner of what observers described phantom primary election by the National Working Committee of the party.
The issue had since generated so many controversies, causing President Buhari to give a marching order to the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshomhole to correct the abnormalities in Ogun state within one week.
Worried by this situation, Dapo Abiodun had been seeking alternative platforms to actualise his political ambition.
A former Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Isiaka Aderounmu who is a key member of Abiodun’s camp told our correspondent exclusively that Dapo Abiodun and his followers might decamp to the PDP soon.
Aderounmu revealed that Dapo Abiodun in the past few days had been lobbying some leaders of the PDP, including its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar secretly.
“If the APC cannot accommodate us, we will surely move to another party. Prince Dapo Abiodun is currently meeting with Atiku Abubakar and other leaders of the PDP. Our supporters should not worry.” Aderounmu said.
