NIMC Adopts WorkflowPro, Goes Fully Paperless to Boost Efficiency and Transparency
In a major step towards digital governance, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has launched WorkflowPro, a digital platform for handling all official correspondence, signaling the Commission’s transition to a fully paperless operating environment.
The move aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the Federal Government’s ongoing public sector reforms aimed at institutionalizing paperless administration.
WorkflowPro will manage both internal and external communications securely, providing traceable, structured, and accountable processes for all submissions.
Under the new system, all external correspondence to NIMC must be submitted electronically through WorkflowPro. The platform allows end-to-end tracking, accelerates internal routing and response timelines, and ensures secure electronic archiving of official records, reducing risks linked to manual document handling.
“This implementation is consistent with the Federal Government’s Enterprise Content Management policy, mandating the digitization of official records across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies,” a statement from NIMC said.
The platform, developed by NIMC’s in-house technical team under the directive of Director-General Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, will enhance administrative efficiency, strengthen governance, and improve accountability in line with approved public sector reforms.
NIMC has provided a 30-day transition period for stakeholders to familiarize themselves with WorkflowPro. After this period, manually submitted letters and paper-based correspondence will no longer be accepted. Correspondence can be submitted via the official portal here or by scanning the designated QR code.
The Commission urges all stakeholders to comply with the new directive to ensure a smooth transition to a modern, paperless communication framework.
