IGS Old Students Commend Kwara Governor Over Renovation Of School Buildings, Ask For More

The Ilorin Grammar School Old Students have commended the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his exemplary efforts in renovating the dilapidated structures in the school.
In a letter of appreciation addressed to the governor, and signed by Alabi F. Owolabi, National President, IGS Old Students, commended the governor for taken giant strides in development of education across the state.
Like Oliver Twist, the President however appealed to the governor to further extend his magnanimity towards rebuilding the collapsed school hall because of its multi-purpose needs, and to equipping all the laboratories to standard, furniture to all the classrooms, and approving the restoration of boarding facility in IGS.
He said: “I write on behalf of the entire Ilorin Grammar School Old Students to first congratulate you not only on your victory as the Executive Governor of the state, but for successfully working towards the needs of the people.
“The motive of this letter is to convey the wholehearted appreciation of the entire members of Ilorin Grammar School Old Students to you on the comprehensive renovation of IGS.
“The decaying condition of the school has not only been a problem and insult to only the old students, but to the entire community, while we as the old students have been making all our efforts toward managing it, but you have in deed come to our rescue.
“The present and future generations will never forget you for this singular honour and by extension other dividend of good governance just in one year.
“Your Excellency, our dear Governor, sir you have started well and you have exhibited your foresight in identifying that quality education is the bedrock of societal development, and no single amount expended there is a waste.
“We beg for your further magnanimity towards rebuilding our collapsed school hall because of its multi-purpose needs, equipping all our laboratories to standard, furniture to all the classrooms, and approving the restoration of boarding facility in IGS.
“These requests sir will not only add values to your achievements, but will write your name permanently as father of new Kwara. We appreciate you and pray for your continual success as we will never forget you sir.”
