El-Rufai Explodes: “Tinubu Has No Path to Victory in 2027 — He’ll Place Third at Best
Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, has launched a scathing attack on President Bola Tinubu, boldly declaring that the president has no chance of winning the 2027 election.
Appearing on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, el-Rufai dismissed any illusion of Tinubu’s reelection, insisting that the president would struggle to place third, let alone survive a runoff.
“I was one of Tinubu’s loudest campaigners in 2023, yet I couldn’t deliver Kaduna for him. He couldn’t even win his own state with his governor in charge. So let’s stop deceiving ourselves,” el-Rufai fumed.
According to him, Tinubu’s reliance on money, security agencies, and the electoral commission is nothing but false confidence.
“If he thinks money, INEC, police, or the army will save him, he should sit with Goodluck Jonathan and ask what happened in 2015. Jonathan had all that power — and we still threw him out. Tinubu’s case is worse.”
He further mocked claims that Tinubu has never lost an election. “That’s a myth. People can keep repeating it, but 2027 will expose the truth. The reality is simple: there will likely be a runoff, and Tinubu will not even make the ballot. I’ve done the analysis — at best, he comes third. There is no pathway for him to win.”
