Buhari meets freed 82 Chibok school girls
President Muhammadu Buhari has met with freed 82 Chibok school girls after their release barely 24 hours ago in Borno State.
During the meeting held at the Aso Villa, the President welcomed the 82 girls, even as he commended Red Cross and Nigerian military for their role in release of the abducted girls three years ago.
Addressing the gathering, the President assured Nigerians that his administration would not relent until all the girls have been released by the terrorist group, Boko Haram.
He said: “This evening I received 82 of our daughters, who have just regained their freedom after three years in Boko Haram captivity.
“We’ve always made it clear that we will do everything in our power to ensure the freedom and safe return of our daughters, and of all Boko Haram captives,” Buhari added.
