A member of the House of Representatives, representing Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency in Rivers State, Rep. Kingsley Chinda has trained over 34 youths as part of his skill acquisition programme for the unemployed youths in his area.
According to a statement from Rep. Chinda media office, 20 of the youths were successful in solar panel construction and installation of inverters.
Chinda said 20 out of the participants were given starter packs and agreed to incorporate 4 limited liability Companies with 5 of them forming partnership in each company to enable them bid for jobs with companies.
The Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts said “the only way to arrest youth restiveness is ensure they are engaged in a skill that can put food on their tables and also take care of their immediate families.
“Not only that, they will also become employers of labour, which to me i think will reduce social vices among our youths”.
