Yuletide Season: OGWAMA Sets For Cleaner Environment, Plans Special Operation

As the Yuletide season is fast approaching, the newly established Ogun State Waste Management Authority, (OGWAMA) has planned to carry out a special waste disposal operation throughout the period.

This operation is determined to deal with the expected increase in waste disposal during the festive period which is just days away and make the state clean.

The media officer of the agency, Rotimi Oduniyi, stated this in a release that the special waste disposal operation which has the blessing of the state governor,Prince Dapo Abiodun, will see massive deployment of waste disposal equipments to all the nooks and crannies of the state.

It was added that waste collectors, sweepers and managers will be on duty throughout the period, thereby forfeiting the holidays for the success of the special operation.

The statement therefore enjoined inhabitants and visitors to the state during this festive season of the special waste disposal operation to cooperate with OGWAMA officials by dumping their refuse in waste bins that will be stationed throughout the state for effective service delivery.

While wishing all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2020, the waste authority said it will soon unfold new waste disposal strategies that will make the state one of the cleanest in the country.
