Wike Fires Back, Those who expelled me from PDP are intoxicated

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike issued a sharp response on Saturday, dismissing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members who supported his expulsion at the party’s 2025 National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State, as “intoxicated.”

The remark was conveyed in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.

According to the statement: “They went to Ibadan to start dirty December in November. When people decide to begin their own dirty December earlier than usual, you can’t take anything they say seriously.

“They gathered in Ibadan for a social party, had fun, got intoxicated, and are now free to say whatever they like.”
