Tinubu Submits APC Nomination Forms for 2027 Presidential Race
President Bola Tinubu on Thursday officially submitted his presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general election.
The forms were submitted at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja by Vice President Kashim Shettima, marking a major step in Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office.
Earlier on Tuesday, a member of the House of Representatives, James Faleke, had picked up the nomination forms on behalf of the president after the payment of N100 million to the ruling party.
The forms were handed over to Faleke by the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, shortly after the party commenced the sale of forms to aspirants seeking its presidential ticket.
Tinubu’s submission of the forms formally confirms his intention to seek re-election in the 2027 presidential poll under the APC platform.
The submission ceremony was still ongoing at the party’s national secretariat at the time of filing this report.
Speaking during the event, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the president’s decision to seek another term reflected the party’s confidence in his performance in office.
