Tinubu Celebrates FCT Minister Nyesom Wike on Birthday… says he has been one of the shining stars in his cabinet
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as an audacious and results-driven public servant.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President joined family, friends and associates in celebrating the former Rivers State governor, thanking God for a life marked by purpose, courage and service to the nation.
President Tinubu praised Wike’s performance in office, noting that the FCT Minister has continued to distinguish himself through resilience, a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence. He highlighted the ongoing transformation of the Federal Capital Territory, driven by extensive infrastructure development under Wike’s leadership.
The President specifically referenced the recent breakthrough in the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road, describing it as a major intervention that resolved a 14-year stalemate and underscored the Minister’s determination to deliver results.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet, an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers,” Tinubu said.
He also commended Wike for his support of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, noting his ability to work across party lines in the national interest.
“I commend him for being one of the champions of our Renewed Hope Agenda, even though he belongs to another party, and wish him well as he marks another year in his life journey,” the President added.
President Tinubu concluded by wishing the FCT Minister a happy birthday and renewed strength to sustain his contributions to the development of the nation’s capital.
