Tell Tinubu Nigeria is not working and Rivers state is on fire!!!
By Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies
Please let us rise, and demand a better day,
For Nigeria and Rivers State, a brighter way.
Tell Tinubu, the people’s voices must be heard,
And those who lead, must serve, not their own selfish world.
Tell President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,
Nigeria is not working,
Rivers state is on fire, the future is darkening.
A nation once united, now torn apart,
By crisis and conflict, a heavy heart.
The President’s declaration,
A state of emergency’s call,
Rivers state in turmoil, the people’s fate to enthrall.
The suspension of leaders,
A move to restore order’s might,
But will it bring peace, or ignite a greater fight?
Nigeria’s problems,
A complex web to unwind,
Poverty, corruption, and inequality, a burden to find.
The people suffer, while leaders clash and vie,
For power and control, as the nation’s future passes by.
Rivers state, a region rich in oil and might,
Yet its people struggle,
In darkness and in night.
The fire of crisis, a flame that burns so bright,
A call to action, for leaders to unite and fight.
Tell President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,
The people’s voices must be heard,
Their cries for help,
A message that must be stirred.
Nigeria’s future, a path that’s yet unsure,
Requires right strong leadership, to guide and to endure.
Tell Tinubu, Nigeria’s cry echoes near,
A nation in distress, with Rivers State in fear.
The fire of crisis rages,
A blaze that won’t subside,
As Fubara and Wike clash, with power struggles their guide.
In Rivers State, the people suffer, their future unsure,
As politicians play games, with their lives as the lure.
The economy’s in shambles, infrastructure crumbling down,
Yet Wike and Fubara fight, Wike’s ego wearing the crown.
If Governor Fubara must face suspension’s might,
Then Wike, too, should face the music, and dance through the night.
For fairness and justice demand, that both leaders be held to account,
For the crisis in Rivers State, and Nigeria’s faltering mount.
Tell President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,
The people weep, their voices raised in pain,
As Nigeria’s leaders fail, and the nation’s future’s in vain.
It’s time for change, for leaders who truly care,
Not those who fuel the fire, and watch as Rivers State despair.
Tell President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,
Nigeria’s cry echoes near,
A nation in distress, with Rivers State in fear.
The fire of crisis rages, a blaze that won’t subside,
As politicians play games, with the people’s lives as their guide.
It’s unconstitutional,
A state of emergency declared,
Without just cause, the people’s rights impaired.
No wars in Rivers State, just crisis born of pride,
While northern Nigeria burns, with conflicts that won’t subside.
The Constitution’s clear,
A state of emergency’s might,
Can only be used, in times of war or imminent fight.
Not for political gain, or to silence opposition’s voice,
But to protect the people, and maintain the nation’s choice.
Tell President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
The people suffer, their future unsure,
As leaders clash and vie, for power and control’s allure.
Nigeria’s not working, the system’s failed and worn,
The people cry for change, for a brighter dawn.
So let us rise, and demand a better day,
For Nigeria and Rivers State, a brighter way.
Tell Tinubu, the people’s voices must be heard,
And those who lead, must serve, not their own selfish world.
