Supporters Rally Behind Abejide, Procure APC Nomination Form
Rt. Hon. Elder (Chief) Leke Joseph Abejide has formally received the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives nomination form from a political support group, signalling his intention to seek a third term in the National Assembly under the ruling party’s platform.
The presentation of the form by the Leke Abejide Support Group took place in Abuja amid a gathering of loyalists and political associates, highlighting what supporters described as growing grassroots backing for the lawmaker representing Yagba Federal Constituency.
Members of the group said the move reflects widespread confidence in Abejide’s leadership and performance, pointing to his record in legislative duties and constituency development. They noted that their decision to procure the nomination form was influenced by persistent calls from constituents advocating continuity in representation.
According to the group, Abejide’s interventions in infrastructure, youth empowerment, and social welfare initiatives have distinguished him as a preferred candidate ahead of the next general elections.
Responding, Abejide expressed gratitude for the support, describing the gesture as both humbling and a renewed call to service. He reiterated his commitment to people-oriented policies and pledged to sustain developmental efforts across Yagba Federal Constituency if re-elected.
