Self-Styled PFIPC DG Arrested After Court Issues Bench Warrant Over Alleged Fraud

Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to be the Director-General of the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), has been arrested following the issuance of a bench warrant by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

According to TVC, the arrest came shortly after Justice Mohammed Umar ordered his arrest for failing to appear in court for his scheduled arraignment.

Adeyemi is facing an eight-count charge, marked FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025, bordering on alleged forgery, fraud and impersonation.

The matter, listed as number 12 on Tuesday’s court cause list, was called, but the defendant was absent. His counsel, Genesis Francis, appeared in court on his behalf.

Justice Umar had previously adjourned the arraignment after the defence informed the court that Adeyemi was indisposed. However, following his repeated failure to appear, the judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest.

The circumstances surrounding his arrest have yet to be disclosed.

PFIPC is not a recognised government agency, and Adeyemi’s claim to be its Director-General has remained the subject of public controversy for several months.
