Sad news on New Year Day, as kidnappers abduct Kaduna doctor

Members of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in Kaduna State on Monday, the first day of January, 2023, woke up to the sad news of the abduction of one of their members.

Though, the sad new was broken on New Year Day, information at the disposal of NigerianSketch has it that the victim may have been abducted since Thursday.

He was said to have been kidnapped at his residence.

Chairman of the Kaduna NMA, Dr Madaki David Sheyin, confirmed to our reporter that a member of the association was kidnapped but said details were still sketchy as of the time.

According to him, permission of the family to say or do anything about it has not been obtained yet. He however said the association was going to see the family of the victim soon. He said the name of the affected member will only be revealed after the family had given permission.

There is always apprehension whenever such abductions happen, as families and friends of victims do not want much details about them to be released to the public.
