Rotimi Amaechi respects leadership achievements of Wike – Obuah

The Rivers State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has declared that the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi reserves respect of the achievement of the current Governor of the State, Nyesom Wike.
Chairman of the party in the state, Felix Obuah, made the assertion while berating the Director-General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Dakuku Peterside, for saying Wike needs mental health evaluation for claiming that the over $43m found in a Lagos apartment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, belonged to the Rivers State Government.
In a statement he personally signed, Obuah, said Peterside’s “vituperation” against the governor ill-motivated.
According to Obuah, “Believing that Rivers people are better informed and too sophisticated to be fooled by Dakuku’s comment against Wike, one reason behind Peterside’s sustained insults against Governor Wike is the humiliation he suffered at the 2015 polls, as the defeated politician is still nursing the wounds of his loss two years after.”
The PDP Chairman in the state regretted that rather than provide facts to show that the house in question does not belong to Amaechi or that the “money found therein was not part of proceeds Rivers State Government realized from the sale of its gas turbines by the Amaechi administration”, the NIMASA DG was busy regaling in concocted lies to please his master.
