Rotary Club Abuja Gudu, installs president, inducts new members

The Rotary Club, Gudu, Abuja, installs new President today in the person of Mrs. Ogechi Uwadoka. There was also the Induction of new members.

It was also a fund raising dinner. The event was hosted at Bahamas Plaza, Gudu, Abuja. The Rotary club is over 100 years.

Present at the occasion is Achike Odenwa, former governor of Imo State, and his beautiful wife. The president Rotary Club Abuja Gudu, Mrs. Ogechi Uwadoka is the daughter of Achike Odenwa.

Some of the inductees are Mabel T. Bello, Zulihat Mamman, Salome Anyasodo and Donald Eguagie. Other Charter members of RC Abuja Gudu are Sule Rita, Tanyishi Hassan, Udenwa Kelechi, Ofem Ofem, Osho Simon, Monye Anthonia, Muojindu Neanneka and Kadiya Emmanuel.

The Rotary Club, Gudu, Abuja, is a new club which is dedicated to committed to the club. Rotary club Abuja Gudu was chartered with 25 dynamic individuals who are ready to do the work of rotary. They are situated in the heart of Gudu.

”A few of our projects for the year includes but not limited to: Provision of Basic Education materials to pupils and award of Scholarships to indigent Students; Provision of toilet facilities for schools; Provision of water for Gudu Community; Women and Youth training on skills acquisition and empowerment; Equipping of Maternal units with delivery beds and Baby Incubators; Medical outreach programmes, provide free health services and basic checks, especially Hepatitis B checks and subsidized vaccinations…”, the President Mrs. Ogechi Uwadoka said.

Mrs. Ogechi Uwadoka also said the fund raised at this event would be used judiciously for the purpose for which it was meant.
