Presidency source denies Adeosun’s resignation

 Presidency on Friday described as fake news the purported resignation of Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, as a member of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports a reliable source from the presidency, who preferred not to be named, saying that he was in contact with the minister’s aides who confirmed to him that Adeosun reported working today contrary to the media reports.

He, therefore, urged members of the public to disregard the resignation story as the minister was still part of the federal cabinet.

Similarly, a senior staff of the Federal Ministry of Finance, who also preferred to remain anonymous, dismissed the report on the resignation of the minister.
