Police Unseal PDP National Headquarters, Legacy House in Abuja

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the unsealing of its National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, and Legacy House in Maitama, Abuja, following compliance with court orders.

In a press release issued on April 11, 2026, the party disclosed that the facilities were unsealed by the Nigeria Police Force and officially handed over to the National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed Takushara, and the National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu.

The PDP commended the police for what it described as professionalism and adherence to the rule of law, noting that the action reflects respect for constitutional order and due process.

The party, however, issued a stern warning against any acts capable of disrupting activities at the secretariat, stressing that it would not tolerate further obstruction or breach of peace. It added that security agencies have been placed on alert to deal with any potential violators.

Describing the development as a major breakthrough, the PDP assured members that the challenges that led to the sealing of the offices had been resolved. It called on aggrieved members to embrace unity and work collectively in the interest of the party.

The statement also expressed appreciation to party leaders and stakeholders for their support during the period, with special recognition given to Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, for his role and commitment.

The press release was signed by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Jungudo Haruna Mohammed.
