Just In:Police Arrest 10 Suspects Over Killing of Benue MACBAN Chairman
The Benue State Police Command has arrested 10 suspects in connection with the killing of the Benue State Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Ardo Risku Mohammed, and another victim, Yakubu Isa.
The arrests followed an intelligence-led operation carried out by tactical police teams in Otukpo Local Government Area after investigations into the deadly attack. Police described the operation as a significant breakthrough in efforts to unravel those behind the killings.
According to the Command, investigations are ongoing, with security operatives intensifying efforts to track down and arrest other suspects believed to have been involved in the incident.
The Commissioner of Police commended the officers who participated in the operation for their professionalism and dedication, reaffirming the Command’s commitment to ensuring that all those responsible are brought to justice.
The police also appealed to residents to remain law-abiding and continue supporting security agencies by providing credible information that could assist ongoing investigations.
