PDP urges Ladoja to unite aggrieve members in Oyo State

The leadership of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on former Governor of Oyo State and chieftain of the party, Senator Rasheed Ladoja to effectively work towards resolving crisis within the party in Oyo State ahead of general elections.

The call came from Deputy National Chairman (South), of the party, Elder Yemi Akinwonmi when he led some chieftains of the party, which include National Vice Chairman (South West), Dr Eddy Olafeso to pay homage to Senator Ladoja at his Bodija country home in Ibadan, Oyo-State Capital.

A statement issued by the Personal Assistant to the PDP Deputy National Chairman (South), Anthony Agbetuyi, said the party leadership in Abuja took the decision to meet Ladoja to enjoin him to work as a team for the party to be able to regain power at all levels in the state

‘The decision in Abuja is for peace to reign in PDP and ensure unity stand in the party so as to work as a team to regain back power at local, state and federal come general election while the leadership urged Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja to use all power at his disposal to resolve whatever grievances anyone may have in mind’, the statement said.

The statement added further that, Ladoja in response reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP in Oyo State, South West Zone and Nigeria at large, “I want to encourage our party members and all well wishers to remain steadfast and strong in this journey as we approach general election and deliver our people from the hand of APC”

Among leaders in attendance were Oyo-State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha, Lagos-State PDP Chairman Hon. Moshood Adegoke Salvador, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo Zonal Secretary (South West), Mrs Arewa Nike Ex-Officio (South West), Sen Hamzat Ayo Adeseun, Sen Olufemi Lanlehin and Sen Kamorudeen Adedubu.

Others include; Hon Muraina Ajibola, Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, Barrister Bayo Lawal, Dr Saka Balogun, Dr Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, Hon Bimbo Adepoju, Mama Mukeso Destiny, State Secretary, Alhaji Emiola Wasii among others.
