PDP Governors Gather in Zamfara Ahead of National Convention

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, will on Saturday, August 23, 2025, host his fellow Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors in Gusau for a strategic meeting ahead of the party’s national convention.

The governors are expected to arrive in Gusau Friday evening for a dinner hosted by Lawal, before going into a closed-door session the next day.

According to a statement by Lawal’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala, the meeting will focus on strengthening party unity, refining political strategies, and enhancing collaboration on developmental initiatives across PDP-controlled states.

The discussions will also include preparations for the PDP national convention, scheduled to take place in Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15–16, 2025.
