Outgoing Head Of Service has contributed to promotion of good governance – OGHA Speaker

The Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, has commended the outgoing Head of Service, Mrs. Amope Chokor for contributing to the progress and development of the service and the entire state.
Oluomo, who recognised her contributions to public service gave this commendation while playing host to Mrs. Chokor at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, stressing that her wealth of experience had impacted positively on the public servants leading to quality service delivery thereby contributing to the promotion of good governance in the state.
The speaker expressed that the outgoing HoS remained the first to have visited the Assembly to formally intimate the lawmakers of her retirement.
He addedk that her role was essential in ensuring quality and purposeful service towards the effective execution and implementation of various government policies, programmes and projects.
The Speaker in company of other lawmakers, the Clerk and Head of Legislative Service, ‘Deji Adeyemo and the Assembly’s management staff, stated that the state and society would learn from her wealth of experience and expertise garnered over the years.
In her remarks, Chokor appreciated the lawmakers for their massive support and cooperation which had made government achieved lofty programmes for the people.
The retiring HoS also tasked officers in the service to raise the bar of performance; remain focused, steadfast and committed to rendering selfless service to the state, with a view to making the state a pride place of choice amongst the comity of states in the country.
