Osinbajo ignored Jonathan’s call – Fani-Kayode

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has revealed that Acting President Yemi Osinbajo ignored the call of former President Goodluck Jonathan when security operatives barricaded the International Conference Centre, ICC.

Recall that stakeholders of the Ahmed Makrfi’s faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had scheduled an emergency meeting at the ICC, following a Port Harcourt ruling affirming Ali Modu Sheriff as the National Chairman of the party.

However, men of the Nigerian Police Force, NPF, prevented the stakeholders from meeting at its intial venue.

Against this backdrop, Fani-Kayode said that immediate past President called Osinbajo but he never picked up.

The PDP Chieftain who took to his Twitter handle @realFFK, wrote, “On the day that @OfficialPDPNig was blocked from meeting at the ICC by the police, @GEJonathan called President Yemi Osinbajo to complain.

“Sadly Osinbajo did nothing about it. The encouraging news is that @GEJonathan tried his best and showed deep concern. That is leadership.
