OLF debunks story, says Obasanjo never said Araraume was corrupt

The Obasanjo Leadership Forum, OLF, has described as”satanic lie”, a story credited to former President Olusegun Obasanjo in which he was quoted to have said that Senator Ifeanyi Araraume was incapable of driving reforms in the Oil Sector because Araraume was allegedly corrupt.
In a statement signed by the Leader of the Forum, Chief Dare Falade, the Forum warned those it said were dragging Chief Obasanjo’s name into “a needless political fight against Araraume ” to desist from the action.
Chief Falade decried what he called “politics of destruction ” going on in Imo State since Araraume was made the Chairman of the new Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited.
Falade who disclosed that Chief Obasanjo would personally sign a statement rebutting the story, advised politicians to have fear of God when they are trying to destroy their opponents.
He further disclosed that whatever misunderstanding existed between Araraume and Obasanjo in the past, was political and that Obasanjo and Araraume had been having a cordial relationship thereafter.
The Forum said Obasanjo could not have made the reckless statement attributed to him in the social Media.
It called for a regulation of the contents of social Media as” all sorts of stories are circulated in the Social Media to settle scores and misform the public.”
He further disclosed that Obasanjo’s Lawyers had been contacted and would take up the matter with the writers of the fallacious story
