Ogun Police Parades 50 Criminal Suspects At A Go

Fifty suspected criminals of various offences have been arrested and paraded by the Ogun State Police Command in what could be described as harvest of arrested suspects.
 The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ilyasu who paraded , at Eleweran Police Headquarters in Abeokuta, explained that the arrest were made within two months,adding  that the suspects were arrested at various locations and hideouts within the state and environs.
Ilyasu added further that,the arrested suspects allegedly involved in crimes which include;armed robbery, murder,burglary,illegal possession of firearms‎,kidnapping,petroleum products diversion and impersonation.
He said number of exhibits were also recovered from the suspects which include;pump action guns, recovered vehicles,live catriddges,locally cut to size pistols,barrel short guns,iron cutters, ammunitions‎ and Efcc Identity cards
The commissioner said,in the course of arrest when police swung into action and combed the hideouts, the bandits engaged in gun battle but police able to overpowered them
He boasted and declared that,the command has employed proactive measures,in robust surveillance of vulnerable points,periodic raid of black spots,swift and rapid response to distress calls and visibility policing among others.
‘The command is assuring all law abiding citizens of their safety at all times and that they should also cooperate and collaborate with the command by given the police useful information as these will assist us in our war against crime and criminality’,Ilyasu said
