Ogun Police command arrests 27 year old suspect for robbing his ex-employer

The effectiveness of men of the Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command to combat crime in the state knew no bound as one Ebuka Everest was arrested for robbing and inflicted various degree of injuries on his ex- employer.
In a release made available to newsmen by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi of the command confirmed that the suspect, aged 27 years was arrested over the weekend following a distress call received by Mowe division at noon that armed robbers have invaded the house of Mrs. Theresa Nnamdi at Mowe and held the occupants of the house hostage.
The timely intervention of the divisional police officer (DPO), Superintendent of Police Marvis Jayeola, who mobilized his anti-robbery team to the scene, cordoned off the house and subsequently arrested Everest after stabbing her right hand before tying her legs with rope and covered her mouth with cloth which he tore from her bed sheet.
The suspect, who worked in the fish farm of his victim before he was sacked, stabbed the farm manager severally before at the fish farm before attacking the woman in her house, and forced her to transfer the sum of N40,000 to his account.
As if that was not enough, he equally ransacked the woman’s room and made away with her laptop, the sum of N5,000 cash, phones and other valuable before he met hi waterloo and arrested by the police with the help of the public.
Speaking during interrogation, the suspect claimed to have worked with the victim for four months having lived with the family throughout that period. Adding that his problem started after being duped of the whole salary by an online scammer, who had promised to help him travel abroad, but ended up blocked him online.
Furthermore, the suspect decided to go to the farm to steal some items in. order to raise some money, but was caught by the manager who reported him to their boss and got sacked immediately. This prompted him to attack the farm manager first before descended on the madam.
However, some of the items recovered from him were a knife, broken bottle, the rope he used to tie the victim legs, phones, laptop and other items he stole in the house.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama has ordered the transfer of the suspect to State criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation and prosecution.
