OGUN POLICE ARRESTED KIDNAPPERS OF 75 YEARS OLD WOMAN
Four suspected kidnappers who masterminded abduction of a 75 years old woman Wuraola Shittu at Ibiade Farm settlement in Ijebu Waterside area of the State have been arrested.
This development was made known by Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi adding that,the woman was kidnapped on March 14 at about 7:45pm when the hoodlums invaded the farm settlement, armed with dangerous weapon and forcefully abducted the old woman.
Oyeyemi added that the victim was later released but Police continue monitoring the hoodlums until four of them were apprehended on their way to carry out similar operation in Epe, Lagos State.
He said the suspects are all from Ijaw Arogbo in Ese Odo Local Government area of Ondo State and gave their identities as include;; Towei Eduh (31), Bikaramobowi (17), Saturday Oti (31) and Paymaster Efigga (30).
The police image maker said exhibits recovered from the suspects include; assorted charms, masks and other dangerous weapons,adding that the gang kingpin who they simply called ROY was still on the run while efforts was on to get him arrested.
He said, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu who commended the good work done by men of Anti-Kidnapping Unit on the arrest of the suspects has vowed that the State will not be conducive for kidnappers and other criminals.
