Ogun Government Constitutes TASCE Governing Council


ABIODUN JIMOH, ABEOKUTA

A-12 Man Governing Council Member of the Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE), Omu-Ijebu have been constituted by the Ogun State government.

Secretary to the State government, Tokunbo Alabi made the announcement in release made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

The Council will be headed by Chief Femi Adefulu while the Registrar of the institution is the secretary to the council. Other members are Olakunle Olubola Aikulola; Mrs. Amope Ajibola Chokor; Dr. (Mrs.) Adejoke Sein; Dr. Olayinka Oduwole, and Mr. Akiola Rafiu Abiola.

Similarly, Mr. Oladeji Oluwadiya; Provost of the College; Adesina Kazeem representing COPSHON; Julius Adeyemi representative of alumni of the college; and Gbenga Odusile, representing ANCOPSS.

Meanwhile, with the constitution of the governing council, absolute peace and harmony is expected to return to the citadel of learning, after years of frustrations and civil unrest across the college campus.

It could be recalled that Governor Abiodun had considered shutting down the crises-stricken college over the unending controversies surrounding the payment of salaries being owed by the state government.

While at sometimes he had urged students to be diligent in their studies and refrain from activities that could lead to tarnishing the image of the state and their respective families.
