Obajana – Kabba Roa: Dangote Working Round The Clock To Deadline
Work has since commenced in full force barely one month after the Dangote Group and the Federal Government signed a landmark contract for the construction of a 42.5KM Obajana-Kabba Road in Kogi State, even as the company promised to complete the road well ahead of the stipulated time of two years.
Investigations by Daily Dispatch revealed that barely one month after the signing of the MoU with Federal Government, works has reached a remarkable level.
Speaking with our correspondent, a staff of Dangote who do not want his name mention, said they have a 16month mandate to complete the road, 6months ahead of contract terms, adding that the construction workers works round the clock.
According to our source, one of the four cardinal point of the company is to reduce construction period, adding that Dangote has delivered a 6kilometer concrete road to its host communityas part of its Corporate Social Responsibility CSR.
The concrete road is been handled by AG Dangote construction company and it will cost the Dangote Group N11.5billion but the job was awarded to the Group on tax concession basis at N5.24billion.
The difference of N6.2billion is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the Dangote Group.
