Niger Delta Development: Usani to meet governors from the region

The Minister in charge of Niger Delta Ministry, Mr. Usani Uguru will on the 27 of this month meet with all the state governors in the region.

Sources close to the ministry of Niger Delta Affairs informed that the meeting will enable the minister present his plans on how the state governors will collaborate with the ministry for the development of the area.

According to our source, the minister is very passionate about the development in the Niger Delta hence the call for the meeting.

The minister has a very laudable development plan for the Niger Delta, but the ministry alone cannot achieve this “that is why our minister is seeking collaboration with governors from the region, the source said.

Confirming the report Director of Information in the ministry Mr. Gundu reiterated that Federal Government through the ministry is sincere about providing sustainable development to the Niger Delta region.

Adding that the government would not play politics with issues affecting the region and its people.
