NASC Appoints Andrew O. Nwoba as Clerk of the Senate and Elevates Other Key Officials.

The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has announced the appointment of Mr. Andrew Ogbonnaya Nwoba as the new Clerk of the Senate. This decision was made during the Commission’s meeting on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, and Nwoba will officially assume the role on December 11th, 2024. Prior to this appointment, Nwoba served as the Secretary of the Directorate of Legislative Budget and Planning.
In a statement released by Emmanuel N. Anyigor, Deputy Director of Information, the NASC also revealed several other significant appointments and redeployments within the National Assembly’s administrative structure:
Emmanuel Odo has been appointed as Deputy Clerk (Administration) for the Senate.
Vivien N. Njemanze has been appointed as Deputy Clerk (Administration) for the House of Representatives.
Dr. Obasi D. Ukoha now serves as the Secretary of the Directorate of Legislative Budget and Planning.
The NASC has also made strategic reassignments:
Rawlings Agada has transitioned from Deputy Clerk (Administration) to Deputy Clerk (Legislative) for the Senate.
Florence Kehinde A has moved from Deputy Clerk (Administration) to Deputy Clerk (Legislative) for the House of Representatives.
Additionally, the Commission had earlier approved the following appointments:
Ogundayo Mofoluwake Olufunmilayo as Secretary of the Directorate of Special Duties.
Alkali Umar Abubakar as Secretary of the Directorate of Human Resource
