NACLFON Pays Courtesy Call on Former Presidential Candidate in Port Harcourt
The National APC Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria (NACLFON) today paid a courtesy visit on Bishop Professor Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies Former Presidential Candidate at her office in Port Harcourt, and formally named her as National Matron of the Forum.
The visit, which took place on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, was led by Archbishop Lucky Aroh followed by some other top members of the NACLFON National leadership and Rivers State leadership.
The delegation commended Bishop Prof. Adesanya-Davies for her distinguished service to the nation as an academic, politician, cleric, and stateswoman, noting her longstanding commitment to faith-based leadership, education, youth and women leadership drive and national development.
In conferring the title of National Matron, NACLFON stated that Bishop Prof. Adesanya-Davies exemplifies the Forum’s core values of integrity, excellence, and service.
As National Matron, she will provide spiritual and moral guidance to the Forum, support its outreach to Christian leaders nationwide, and help advance its mission of promoting ethical governance and national unity.
Speaking during the visit, Bishop Prof. Adesanya-Davies expressed gratitude for the honor and pledged to support NACLFON’s efforts to strengthen the voice of Christian leaders within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and across Nigeria.
She emphasized the importance of collaboration between faith and governance in building a just and prosperous nation. The Bishop Professor also added that she would continue in her strides to remain a voice of truth, a voice of the voiceless and never just any party defender.
In closing, Dr Victoria O. Solomon giving the votes of thanks, sincerely thanked his Eminence, the Archbishop and the honourable team for their visit and the gift presentation and assured that Mama Bishop Professor Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies would remain a daring voice of conscience and truth as she has always been.
