Lai Mohammed’s much-anticipated book will be officially launched tomorrow
Former Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, will on Wednesday officially launch his much-anticipated book, Headlines and Soundbites: Media Moments That Defined an Administration, at the Shehu Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.
The book chronicles key media engagements, controversies and defining communication moments of the administration of late President Muhammadu Buhari, under whom Mohammed served as the federal government’s chief spokesperson.
The launch is scheduled to hold on the birthday of President Buhari, a timing described as symbolic, as many of the events and narratives captured in the publication unfolded during his tenure in office.
According to the author, the book offers an insider’s perspective on government-media relations, crisis communication and policy messaging during the Buhari years, providing readers with behind-the-scenes accounts of how major national and international narratives were managed.
The event is expected to attract senior government officials, politicians, media practitioners, academics and other stakeholders interested in Nigeria’s recent political communication history.
