MOVIE ACTORS, MR LATIN, ODUNLADE ESCAPES ARMED ROBBERS BULLETS

Two Nigerian Movie Actors, Bolaji Amusan,popularly called Mr Latin and Kola Odunlade on Saturday night narrowly escaped death,as armed robbers launched attack on them.
The duo were returning from Glo musical show in Ijebu-Ode, when their cars ran into the waiting hands of armed robbers already laying siege along Ilishan-Sagamu road.
Bolaji Amusan, while narrating the ordeal to our correspondenton Sunday said, he and Odunlade having finished from the show in Ijebu-Ode were returning to Abeokuta when they fell into the hands of the bandits.
According to him ‘We left Ijebu-Ode after the show and heading to Abeokuta, when at about 7.30pm we ran into the armed robbers already stationed themselves on the road’.
The veteran movie actor explained further that, Odunade was leading two convoy of the cars, and immediately he sighted suspected road blockage by the bandits,he attempted to make a detour,but the bandits rained bullets on the tyres forcing the car to a halt.
Mr Latin said, he was following Odunlade Avensus car in his own Toyota Cammry car and sensing similar danger,he resigned to fate,adding that himself and Odunlade alongside some of their aides had to abandoned their vehicles and escaped into the bush.
He added that, all victims hybernated in the bush for almost two hours, while the bandits ransacked their vehicles,carting away valuables, which include money, mobile phones among others.
‘We took to our heels as the robbers pursued us with guns, we were in the bush for about two hours,before we later regain freedom after the robbers left the scene’,Mr Latin stated.
Amusan said following the spread of the news, members of the vigilante services later came to rescue them,adding that, they were later taken to Ogun State University Teaching Hospital,OSUTH, Sagamu for medical treatment.
He said they have equally reported the case to the nearest police station within the vicinity of the scene, and gave thanks to God for sparing their lives.
