By Joseph Dasilva
Leader of Afonja Descendants Union, ADU, Alhaji Abdulkareem Olola Kasumu has picked holes in the ministerial list presented by President Muhamadu Buhari to the Senate for screening.
Speaking with our correspondent in an exclusive chat in Ilorin, Kasumu, who is also a key stake holder in the All Progressives Congress, APC and exponent of the ‘Otogee’ onslaught said that Ministerial nominees from Kwara did not speak the real language of Otogee adding that President Buhari’s action without proper consultation is retrogressive.
The public affairs commentato and Baba Oodua of OPC in Kwara said that though some un informed person went ahead to congratulate President Buhari for his nomination of Alhaji Lai Mohammed and Senator Gbemisola Saraki adding that the two had gotten enough share of the nation and that there are eminently qualified persons in Kwara.
He said that Kwarans and a section of the people he represents would have preferred that the originator of Otogee campaign, Barister Iyiola Akogun Oyedepo, someone from Bamgboye family of Omuaran, even Akeem Lawal, a son of late Governor Lawal, former Governor of Kwara State or someone from Latinwo family in Offa because of their past and preset contributions to Kwara and the struggle for the emancipation of kwara.
Kasumu reiterated that while Lai Mohammed had served Ahmed Tinubu severally in Lagos, and served as Minister of the federal republic while Senator Gbemisola Saraki had also been at the House of Represetative and the Senate questioning if the conspirators presented Kwara as not having other qualified persons fit for the miisterial positions.
He lamented that President Muhamadu Buhari’s choice of the two persons falls short
